SORS is a curator-led platform dedicated to contemporary artistic practices that engage perception as a site of inquiry, disruption, and resonance. Named after the Latin word sors, a term for fate, lot, or the casting of oracles, SORS draws on the poetics of uncertainty to explore how the invisible shapes what we see, hear, and remember.

Foregrounding moving image, sound, and time-based practices, SORS centers artists whose work navigates the thresholds between sensation and structure, memory and media, presence and disappearance. It considers perception not just as personal experience, but as a field shaped by politics, technology, and historical depth.

Through long-form interviews, editorial writing, and cross-disciplinary dialogue, SORS operates as both a curatorial proposition and a discursive space, mapping new relations between form and thought, image and attention.

Founded by curator Alice Nien-pu Ko, SORS invites audiences to encounter art not as representation, but as transmission: affective, elusive, and continually unfolding.
